Family Says Beggs Murder Victim Was Stabbed In The Neck

Federal investigators are on the scene of a murder in Beggs, where one person was found dead Wednesday afternoon.

The investigation is ongoing, and a large multiagency crew of investigators is still looking to determine exactly what happened.

The victim's family said the victim was found dead inside his home and said he'd been stabbed in the neck some time within the last day.

Muscogee Nation Lighthorse Police brought in their new crime scene investigation truck Wednesday evening. Officials received a call around 3 p.m. and blocked off the entire roadway in the 800 block of West Main Street.

The Lighthorse Police Department, Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the FBI are all working the scene.
