More than 40 businesses are expected to take part in a career fair organized by the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday. The fair will offer several opportunities and some interviews could happen on the spot.
Amber Smith with the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce said the city is seeing shortages in the workforce. Smith said the open positions will range from entry to executive levels.
Some of the industries include healthcare, manufacturing and financial services. Familiar names taking part include Ascencion St. John, Panera Bread and Bass Pro Shops.
Smith said with Governor Kevin Stitt announcing a return to work incentive this week and federal unemployment benefits set to expire in Oklahoma next month, the fair is coming at the perfect time.
“There will be opportunities for some employers to even do onsite interviews so bring your resume, copies of your resume, dress professionally and be ready to go back to work,” said Smith.
The job fair will take place inside of the Central on Main ballroom from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday. You can register beforehand or walk in.
