Tulsa police are investigating two separate hit and run crashes that occurred overnight. According to Tulsa police, both crashes happened within about 45 minutes of each other.
Police said the first crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night westbound on I-44 just west of Yale Avenue.
Witnesses told troopers they saw a Chevy Suburban speeding in the area. They told officers that the driver of a Ford Crown Victoria tried to take the Yale Avenue exit but swerved and that is when the Suburban hit the Ford and kept driving.
OHP said a witness tried to follow the Suburban but lost track of the vehicle when it took the Harvard Avenue exit.
The driver of the Ford Crown Victoria was not hurt.
Tulsa police said officers also responded to a hit-and-run crash near 16th Street and Memorial Drive around midnight on Tuesday.
Police say a Toyota Sienna was on Memorial Drive when it jumped the curb, went across a parking lot and then hit the side of a building.
Police say the driver fled from the scene before.
The building suffered some minor damage.
Police are now searching for the driver.
