Tulsa Police: 1 Person Hospitalized After Shooting

Tulsa police said a person is in the hospital after an overnight shooting in the Blue Dome District.

Officers responded to a "shots fired" call by Hotel Indigo around 1 a.m. Sunday near 2nd and Elgin.

Shortly after officers arrived on scene, they said they heard gunshots coming from a nearby parking lot. While shots were fired in the parking lot, no one was hit but they determined that someone had fired rounds into the air.

Authorities later learned one person was shot near 2nd and Elgin. The victim was transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound in the leg.

After reviewing surveillance video, police said the gunshot victim was engaged in a gun fight with another person. Authorities said the shooting victim didn't want to cooperate with the police investigation.

The victim is expected to be OK. No arrests have been made.
