The 60th Annual Wagoner Summerfest kicks off Thursday night for the first time in two years due to COVID-19. There will be about 80 various food, arts, and games vendors for everyone to enjoy.

The hours for the festival are:

  1. Thursday: 5:00-10:00p.m.
  2. Friday: 5:00-10:00p.m.
  3. Saturday: 10:00a.m.-10:00p.m.

The rides and food vendors will not be up and running until about 1 p.m., but the arts/crafts and other vendors will open starting at 10 a.m.

The 80 various arts and crafts booths, food vendors, live music, and more spread out in the Downtown Wagoner area of S. Main St. all three days of the event. Parking is free and available in most parking lots downtown, including the local churches.

On Saturday morning there will be a car show on N. Main St. for a few hours, but that section will be open again by the evening. The only continuous street closure is S. Main St. where the rides and vendors are set up.

There is no charge to attend Summerfest although there are various costs to ride the rides and order food. If you are just wanting to walk around, there is no admission fee.

Wagoner Chamber of Commerce president Megan Muehlenweg said they will have multiple drawings people can enter at their booth, including one for free summer passes to the pool as people start to look for fun things to do.

“I think a lot of people are really excited, I think things are starting to open back up around here and so we are excited to get out and see a lot of the people we haven’t gotten to see lately,” Muehlenweg said.

She said the 2020 Summerfest would’ve been their 60th year of doing the festival, but since covid canceled the event, they are calling the 2021 festival their 60th year to make up for lost time.
