Wagoner County Sheriff Calls For Further Investigation After Woman Dies In Jail

The Wagoner County Sheriff has asked the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to look into a death at the Wagoner County jail.

Sheriff Chris Elliott says Angela Liggans suffered what appeared to be a medical episode in her cell Wednesday afternoon. He says deputies called an ambulance and performed CPR, but Liggans died.

The medical examiner will determine her cause of death.
