With summer in full swing, GRDA is reminding folks to stay safe when out on Oklahoma Lakes.

It’s the beginning of a busy boating season at lakes across Oklahoma, and GRDA is reminding folks of all ages of the importance of a boater safety course, especially young boaters. They’re offering a free all-day safety course next Saturday, June 19th in Langley.

The course is designed to help new and returning boaters feel confident in their skills and learn safety and regulation that will help keep them safe on the water this summer. GRDA says even experienced boaters can learn something new with these courses. They say several insurance companies even offer reduced rates for people who attend the course.

GRDA says class sizes are limited, so sign up soon. You can register online in advance at https://grda.regfox.com/2021-kyle-williams-boating-safety-class. For more information, contact Officer/Instructor Jason Littlefield at (918) 981 8438 or email Jason.littlefield@grda.com.
