Man Arrested After Fleeing From TPD In Stolen Vehicle, Breaking Into Apartment

Tulsa police arrested a man who fled from officers in a stolen SUV before he broke into an apartment on Saturday.

A man is in custody on Monday morning after Tulsa police say he fled from officers in a stolen SUV before breaking into an apartment.

According to police, Terry Bayless took off after officers attempted a traffic stop on Saturday night near East 41st Street and South Memorial Drive.

Officers said that Bayless drove to an apartment complex near East 31st Street and South Mingo Road and got out of the vehicle before breaking into an apartment. Police said that the residents inside ran to the balcony to call for police.

Bayless was arrested for possessing a stolen vehicle, eluding police, first-degree burglary, and hit-and-run. Police say Bayless also had outstanding warrants.
