A standoff at a Tulsa motel ended with one man in custody after staff said they heard gunshots coming from one of the rooms.
According to Tulsa police, officers were called out to a motel near 91st and Riverside after hotel staff reported hearing gunshots coming from one of the rooms near the back of the motel around 1:15 a.m.
Police say that an employee called 911 after seeing bullet holes in the back wall from outside the room.
When officers arrived, they found the suspect, who was identified as Josiah Daniel, and communicated with him through closed doors.
Officers say they were able to convince him to come out and no one was injured.
"We've recovered the firearm and evidence that multiple shots were fired at the exterior wall which faces the west towards the river or the woods right here. The window was broken out from gunfire and there are bullet holes in the room," said Lt. Showman from the Tulsa Police Department.
Tulsa police said they do not know much about the man who was arrested other than his name and that he is visiting Tulsa from Mississippi.
