Tulsa police arrested a man suspected of opening fire Monday afternoon near 21st Street and U.S. Route 169.
The gunfire narrowly missed the two targeted victims who the Tulsa Police Department said the suspect knew.
Authorities were able to track the suspect down and bring him into custody without incident around 7:30 p.m.
Photos of the shooting show just how close gunfire came to hitting a Tulsa driver and their passenger Monday afternoon.
The driver of a white Ford sedan was heading east on 21st Street when the driver of a second vehicle opened fire around 5 p.m.
The shots narrowly missed both people inside the car. It came mere inches away from the passenger, whose side of the car took the most gunfire.
Police at the scene said the shooting caused the victim to crash into another car, causing a significant backup on 21st Street.
Miraculously, nobody was seriously injured in the shooting. Police said the only minor injuries were likely related to broken glass as bullets tore into the vehicle's cabin.
Police said the suspect drove away and was gone by the time officers arrived on scene.
Officers spent about an hour questioning witnesses, searching the area and collecting evidence before clearing the scene and re-opening the eastbound lanes of 21st Street.
