The University of Oklahoma and the University of Arkansas have agreed to a multi-year men's basketball series at the BOK Center in Tulsa.
The first game will be played later this year on December 11, 2021.
Tickets for each fanbase will be split 50-50 at mid-court to create a neutral environment similar to the Red River Showdown at the Cotton Bowl Stadium.
Tulsa's BOK center is located midway between the campuses of Oklahoma and Arkansas.
“We're very excited to partner with the University of Arkansas and BOK Center in creating a new basketball series which we believe will develop into a fantastic pre-holiday tradition,” said OU Vice President and Athletics Director Joe Castiglione. “Our goal is to turn this border rivalry into a weekend-long event that brings together two passionate fan bases and creates an atmosphere second to none. We've always received excellent support from our fans in the Tulsa area and we know there are a lot of passionate Razorbacks fans in that area too. We look forward to bringing this match-up to downtown Tulsa.”
Arkansas holds a 16-12 lead in the all-time series, with the last matchup coming on November 23, 2017. The Razorbacks won that game 92-83 in Portland, Oregon, at the Phil Knight Invitational.
Tickets go on sale Friday, August 20 at 12 p.m. and will be available HERE.
