The first round of Bixby students choosing to learn in-person is returning to classrooms on Monday morning. The district is staggering the first day of school into two different groups.

Students with last name’s beginning with A through K will return on Monday and Tuesday. All other students will report on Wednesday and Thursday.

In its return-to-learn plan, Bixby is asking parents to do a daily check before sending their children to school to make sure they aren’t feeling sick. Masks are optional and there will be efforts to distance students where it is possible.

Daily disinfection of high-contact areas is also outlined in the plan. The district will use contact tracing to notify parents of potential exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

The district will keep a COVID-19 dashboard on its website. The full return-to-learn plan can be viewed by Clicking Here. https://www.bixbyps.org/page/covid
