The Muskogee District Attorney has filed for the death penalty in the murder trial of Jarron Pridgeon.
Pridgeon is charged with murdering five children and his brother in February. In early August a judge ruled that there was enough evidence against a Muskogee man charged with murdering five children and his brother for him to stand trial. Wednesday Muskogee DA Orville Loge and Larry Edwards filed the bill of particulars which provides amended information stating they will be pursuing the death penalty and why.
"A man is accused of slaughtering five children, three of whom were his own, his own brother, and tried to kill the mother Brittany Anderson. Brittany has lost five children to murder and three others to the Department of Human Services. Her losses are beyond catastrophic. If this isn't a death penalty case I don't know what is," said attorney Steve Money.
