Tulsa Police are looking for a group of people who stole from a hardware store near 31st and Highway169.
The store's owner tells News on 6 the thieves stole more than $100,000 worth of merchandise.
The store owner of The Tool Cabin, Eduardo Cabajal, said he's owned this store for almost four years and has never been hit with such a major theft. He said the thieves who stole from him last week took a lot more than tools.
"They didn’t just take my products, they took my peace of mind. I haven't been sleeping well lately, ever since that happened," said Cabajal.
Cabajal said when he walked into work Friday, his fully stocked walls and shelves were bare, and thousands of dollars of merchandise gone over night.
"We realized the register was on the ground, and there were items missing from the back," Cabajal explained. "They took things that were very expensive. They didn’t take the little things, so the little things are still here, but all the expensive stuff is gone."
Cabajal said the thieves broke through the store's back door. Three people were caught on his security cameras around 1 a.m. stealing everything from expensive power tools, tape, refrigerators, and money from the register.
"Roughly around $115,000 was the value of what I get those products for," Cabajal said. "That money is what she used to pay the employees, what she used to pay rent and other insurance things that I have going on."
Investigators said the thieves were caught on surveillance at a nearby gas station using Cabajal's credit card after the burglary.
Cabajal said thieves target stores like his because they can sell the items quickly online. He said he's now ramping up his security, tying down tools and buying more locks.
"It's all chain reaction. Stress, frustration, and a lot of phone calls that I have to deal with," Cabajal said.
