Celebrity Restaurant In Tulsa Reopening For Last Holiday Season

A well-known Tulsa restaurant that closed over the summer is opening again Tuesday, but just for the holidays.

Three Sirens Restaurant Group owns Celebrity Restaurant. Owner Johnna Hayes says they wanted to make a special comeback to let people continue their traditions.

They've been closed for a little over three months now, but once again, the restaurant will be a place for reunions, good food, and more memories.

"So, we're really giving a throwback to what it was a few years back, so that everybody can kind of enjoy that this holiday season,” Hayes said.

The second you step inside Celebrity Restaurant, it's like you're walking into a winter wonderland.

Ornaments fill the ceiling, the walls are lined with lights, and there’s tinsel everywhere you turn.      

Hayes says the original owners always made sure the holiday season was special.

"Really decorating all out. Some people don't get to do that at their house, they don't have time,” Hayes said.

The restaurant closed in July due to staffing and product issues.

But for the next two months, guests can come back in for food, music, and a lot of Christmas spirit.

Hayes says staff from her other restaurants will be working doubles and former wait staff who worked there for years are returning.

"So, everybody's putting in a lot of overtime and extra work to make this happen for everyone,” Hayes said.

She says it's a labor of love.

They're bringing back their classic menu, including tableside caesar salad, fried chicken, steak, and specialty cocktails like Brandi Ice's.

You'll even hear live music from the piano player who performed there for decades.

"So, that's the best feeling. Hearing the blender go for all the Brandi Ice's, seeing Mark Anthony make the salads, I mean there's just a great energy and you can kind of feel the historic importance of this restaurant."

She says for now, this will be Celebrity's last holiday season.

"I hope that people come in with those that they always have, and then I hope they bring in somebody new that gets to experience it,” Hayes said.

Hundreds are already booked each night in December, but they still have open reservations for this month. 

Through December, Celebrity Restaurant will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
