OHP: Pottawatomie County Woman Dies In 3-Vehicle Collision

A woman died Monday in a three-vehicle collision, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The collision happened just before 5 p.m. Monday along State Highway 9 south of Mars Hill Road in Pottawatomie County.

Troopers said Rebecca McBroom, 62, was transported to OU Medical Center with head, arm, leg, internal and external trunk injuries. McBroom was later pronounced dead by medical staff. The passenger with McBroom was not injured.

The driver in a second vehicle was treated and released for their injuries. A passenger in the second vehicle was also not injured.

A five-year-old and four-month-old in a third vehicle were treated and released with minor injuries. Two others in that vehicle were not injured.

OHP said it is still investigating what led to and caused the collision.
