2 Tulsa Restaurants Make Yelp's Top 100 List

Two Tulsa restaurants are on the list of Yelp's Top 100 U.S. Restaurants in 2022.

La Tertulia and East Village Bohemian Pizzeria both made the latest rankings.

Bohemian has been serving up success for seven years, known for its wood-fired, Neapolitan-style pizza and homemade pasta.

Owners Amy Johnson McMillin and Patrick Johnson say ever since the list came out, people have been lining up at the door.

"We couldn't believe it. We were like, top 100 in the country?” McMillin said.

She says each day starts with fresh ingredients.

"We make the pasta fresh; we make the pizza fresh,” McMillin said.

The brother and sister duo have always loved Italian cooking.

When they found the building in downtown Tulsa, the siblings said it was meant to be.

"And it just happened to have a wood-fired oven in it. Literally,” Johnson said.

Once the toppings are ready to go, each pizza goes into the oven heated at 800 degrees.

It only takes a few minutes until it's ready to eat.

"We have such consistent food and we have so many repeat customers that just talk about us and write great reviews and I guess that's how we got on the list,” McMillin said.

Bohemian is ranked on Yelp's list at number 83 in the country.

McMillin says with Bohemian's name in the national light, there’s been an influx of people coming to the restaurant. 

The menu also includes several vegan and gluten-free options.

There is an outdoor patio with heaters in the winter and misters in the summer.

"I guess we just have such a great group of people that work here. We have such a great vibe,” McMillin said. "When you're walking in, you feel like you're not in Tulsa, Oklahoma. You're walking into some worldly place in New York or Europe or something."

La Tertulia is ranked 91. The New Mexican-style restaurant is in the Blue Dome district.
