Woman Faces Child Neglect Charge After Leaving Twins In Car While Shopping

A woman is facing a child neglect charge after Owasso Police say she left her two, four-year-old children in the car for more than 45 minutes.

Officers said Christina Chesny was taking her oldest daughter shopping and thought the twin, four-year-olds were with their father, not realizing they were sleeping in the back of her car.

Store employees said they found one child walking in the parking lot without a shirt on.

The other child was crying in an unlocked car.

Chesny told police she and her husband are on a deferred sentence out of Rogers County for child neglect.
