Former Golden Hurricane Player Hired By Houston

Congratulations are in order for former Golden Hurricane player and coach Lovie Smith as he has been named the next head coach of the Houston Texans.

Smith was with the Golden Hurricane in 1983 to 1986 as the team's Linebacker Coach.

He played for College Football Hall of Fame Coach, John Cooper.

He also served as an Assistant Coach at Cascia Hall.

This past season he served as Houston's Defensive Coordinator.
