Oklahoma Abortion Clinics See Surge Following Texas Law

The operators of two Oklahoma women's clinics say they've seen a surge in women from Texas coming to the state for abortions following that state's law last fall restricting access. Planned Parenthood Great Plains said in the fall of 2020, its clinics in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri saw 50 patients from Texas.

The operators of two Oklahoma women's clinics say they've seen a surge in women from Texas coming to the state for abortions following that state's law last fall restricting access.

Planned Parenthood Great Plains said in the fall of 2020, its clinics in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri saw 50 patients from Texas.

That increased to more than a thousand last year.

The Trust Women's Oklahoma City clinic went from seeing 12 Texas patients in August to 130 in September.
