Crafty mom Courtnay Grider is back in the studio Wednesday afternoon showing us a fun and simple craft that will keep kids occupied and creating for hours.

Let's get started with these Straw Weaving Bracelets.

Straw Weaving Bracelets

Supplies Needed:

·Straws

·Yarn in assorted colors

·Scissors

·Tape

Instructions:

1.Start by taping three straws together at the end to secure them together. If you want the width of your bracelet to be bigger, add more straws.

2.Cut three pieces off string that are double the length of the straws and then thread them through each straw. At one end knot all the strings together.

3.Now the fun… Take your yarn and tie it to the first straw. You can now start weaving in an under over pattern. Continue to weave up to the end of the straws.

4.When you get to the end of the straw tie a knot around the straw to secure it from unraveling.

5.Remove the tape and begin to push your weaving off the straws onto the yarn. Once fully removed push the weaving together and straighten up as needed. Tie open end into a knot and cut excess yarn to finish and create your bracelet.
