Admiral Twin Drive-In Kicking Off 2022 Season With 'The Batman' Premiere

The Admiral Twin Drive-In near I-244 and Memorial will kick off the 2022 season with the premiere of “The Batman.” The owner of the theater is expecting a big year for movies after recent slow years.

Blake Smith, owner of the Admiral Twin, says the season is starting a little earlier than normal to screen “The Batman.” It will share a double feature with “Godzilla vs. Kong.”

Smith says the past two years have been slower because of pauses and delays as a result of the pandemic. Other blockbuster movies expected to draw crowds this spring and summer include “Lost City,” and new installments of “Top Gun” and “Jurassic World.”

Smith says the Admiral Twin is a landmark in Tulsa because it isn’t your average movie theater.

“Kind of whatever goes to some degree,” said Smith. “Kids are running around and having fun but it’s absolutely a family business and there’s no doubt about it having nostalgia.”

This will be the 71st season of operation for the Admiral Twin. Tickets start at $4 for kids.
