A Severe Thunderstorm warning has been issued for Adair, Cherokee, Delaware, Mayes and Wagoner counties until 7:15 p.m.
A system that will likely brings us storms Sunday isn’t here yet, but it’s on the way.
According to News On 6 Meteorologist Megan Gold, a system is resting over Colorado Sunday morning, but it is expected to come through eastern Oklahoma this afternoon and tonight.
The latest storm predictor reading says Tulsa is not considered a marginal risk area for strong storms, but portions of Okmulgee, Wagoner, Muskogee, Pittsburg, Haskell and Latimer counties could see some stronger storms later today.
There is a low-end tornado threat as well as some strong winds and small hail possible for southeast Oklahoma.
For the Tulsa area, the high is expected to reach 50 degrees Sunday afternoon with northerly winds ranging from five to 10 miles per hour.
