Fire Crews Rescue Kids In NW OKC Overnight Apartment Fire

A metro mother is holding her kids a little tighter Monday morning after she says they had to be rescued from their burning apartment near Northwest Expressway and May overnight.

Rochelle Davis says she was at work when her kids called her.

"I was scared to death and my heart was beating. I couldn't even dial 911 correctly the first time to see if they were on the way or not,” Davis said.

When crews got to the scene, they rescued the kids with a ladder and got them to safety.

There are no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
