A Broken Arrow man is in jail after Cherokee County Deputies say he led them on a high-speed chase on Saturday night.

Deputies say it started after they got calls about a man and woman fighting on the side of Highway 100 near Lake Tenkiller.

According to deputies, Dale Roeper then got into a black truck and took off. Deputies say Roeper tried to hit someone with the vehicle as he was fleeing the scene.

A deputy later found Roeper driving along Highway 82 and attempted to make a stop. Deputies say Roeper made a U-turn and drove away before eventually crashing the truck and running off on foot.

Deputies say they found Roeper the next morning at a motel and arrested him on several felony complaints.
