TULSA, Okla. - Expect moderate temperatures and light wind for all the trick-or-treating this evening.
Here are the details from News On 6 Meteorologist Stephen Nehrenz:
Happy Halloween, everybody! Our weather for the holiday is looking far from spooky.
The lingering upper level low that brought off-and-on showers to Green Country over the weekend is exiting the area today with sunshine returning in its wake. It will be a spectacular Halloween afternoon areawide with highs in the lower 70s and winds remaining light.
There are no tricks in the trick-or-treating evening forecast! Temperatures will drop back into the lower 60s with very light winds and clear skies. It’ll be a spook-tacular evening for all the boos and ghouls across eastern Oklahoma.
Temperatures will steadily warm above normal this week as November begins. Highs climb into the upper 70s from Tuesday through Thursday with much gustier south winds returning by the middle of the week. The return of that familiar Oklahoma wind will be a precursor to a strong storm system already taking shape for the upcoming weekend.
We’re still several days away from the weekend of course, but it already appears rain and storms will be likely across much of Oklahoma from late Friday into Saturday, with some severe weather potential. We’ll keep you updated as the details of that system become more refined in the days ahead.
