2 Killed In Pittsburg County Crash

Two people were killed in a crash Saturday evening in Pittsburg County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened at around 7:45 p.m. on the Indian Nation Turnpike near mile marker 80.

Christopher Pierson, 33, was traveling northbound when he struck a deer, ran off the right side of the road, struck a tree and overturned into a creek, according to troopers.

Both Pierson and the passenger, Darci Pierson, 28, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to OHP.
