Officials from the Verdigris Fire District say a train crossing is back open after a derailment on Tuesday night.

According to a Facebook post shared by the Verdigris Fire District, the derailment happened at the South 4110 crossing.

Video of the derailment was posted to Facebook by Jake Powell.

Beau Gaynor was working nearby when the derailment happened at Highway 66 and Franklin Road.

"I was back in the back room man, and all of a sudden it sounds like an airplane flying right above us, you know. So I run up front, and sure enough there was a car going off without a front end," Beau recalled.

Officials say there is currently no danger to the public and that all emergency crews have cleared the scene.
