Watch: New Coffee Shop Opens Along Cherry Street

A new coffee shop is opening on Cherry Street. New baristas started training this week and on Saturday, the crew will put their skills to the test to welcome customers.

Summer Moon started in Texas and Tori Arnold is the owner of three franchises in Oklahoma City. Now, she is opening the first one in Tulsa.

"What makes us different is we're super kind, we have quick service, but we also serve a high-quality coffee. And so, I'm excited to bring that to Tulsa,” Arnold said.

The coffee shop also has a unique concept that doubles as a secret recipe.

Summer Moon is known for Moon Milk, a sweet cream added that makes the beverages unique.

"It has the notes of like caramel and vanilla, we don't have caramel in our store. And that is because we have it in our Moon Milk, so the Moon Milk is our signature sweet cream. Once you try it, you're going to be hooked. It is so good, super creamy and it pairs perfectly with our lattes,” Arnold said.

She said the drinks are made with oak-roasted coffee in Austin over Texas Post Oak, which makes the coffee smooth.

The shop already brought 17 jobs and plans to hire more people.

"We're all about serving the community> We're all about just creating a safe space for like moms and kids to come, for people to come and work at our coffee shop, just a really cozy environment,” Arnold said.

Summer Moon opens on Saturday, March 18 at 7 a.m.
