Canadian County Sheriff Seizes 30 Pounds Of Meth

The Canadian County Sheriff's Office seized 30 pounds of methamphetamine and $6,500 after a traffic stop on Interstate 40 near Radio Road.

 Yunita Cedeno, 52, and Sharon Hodge, 47, both from Tennessee, were taken into custody and jailed on violation relating to methamphetamine trafficking.

"During the search of the vehicle a highly sophisticated electronic aftermarket compartment was located behind a back seat and contained thirty-one-pound bags of methamphetamine," police said.

Police found $6,500 in Hodge's purse, police believe this money was used to "facilitate the transaction of narcotics."

 Both women were booked into the Canadian County Detention Facility on a $60,000 bond.

“There’s a real possibility these drugs have ties to our nation’s southern border. Most likely a transnational criminal organization. I’m extremely pleased with the exceptional work of my deputies,” said Chris West, Canadian County Sheriff.
