Robotics Competition Underway At Expo Square Pavilion

A robotics competition involving high school students from around the world is taking place in Tulsa this week.

the event is called the "First Robotics Competition" and is taking place at Expo Square.

Teams have to design and build a robot, tune it up and compete against other teams.

"Our team here is a community team, so we come from all stretches of Tulsa, all stretches of Oklahoma, come together to build in a little building and make robots that are amazing," said Ericary Franks, a student competing in the event.

The competition runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Saturday.
