Authorities Arrest Man Accused Of Raping 12-Year-Old

A 20-year-old man is in jail, accused of raping a 12-year-old girl he knew from church, according to police.

Police say Christian Jefferson sexually abused the child on two separate occasions.

Court documents state that the victim told her mother that Jefferson offered her his gun so she could shoot her mother. The documents say the victim told DVIS that she wanted to kill her mom, so she could be with Jefferson.

Jefferson is charged with two counts of first-degree rape of a victim under 14 years old.
