U.K. Based Catering Group Caters LIV Golf Tournament At Cedar Ridge

We're getting an inside look at the different groups that are a part of the LIV Golf Tournament.

All of the food at the tournament will be provided by a catering group from the U.K.

"Bit of a mixture of things across site, we do all of the retail concession catering across the board, so from burgers to different snacks for guests," said Lizzie Mathieson, head of events for Absolute Taste.

Absolute Taste is on their second stop with LIV and has seven more to go.

There's about 100 people traveling with them from England, and 200 hired locally to help out.

Mathieson said they provide food for concessions stands as well as VIP areas.

"We've got different levels of hospitality, so top, higher-end guests, to more informal fair at places like the birdie shack, which is drinks and snacks and so on," she said.

The group has been doing events around the globe for the past 25 years.

Project Director Bruce Beaton said they serve up a unique menu while also providing some Oklahoma favorites.

"I think the idea is that we do a great menu that is noticed around all the events for LIV and then taking on local flare where we are to make sure we appreciate, show the appreciation for the local flare, what they offer and what people appreciate locally," he said.

This is the first time both Bruce and Lizzie have ever been to Oklahoma. They said it's been great so far, but just hope the weather stays as sunny as possible, and no tornadoes pop up near Cedar Ridge.

"It's a gentle fear, don't really know what to do, don't know if we run and hide or what," Mathieson said.

After the tournament is over this week, the crew will head to Washington D.C., then off to Spain and then London.
