Woman Drives Herself To Hospital After Tulsa Apartment Shooting; Investigation Underway

A woman was hospitalized after a shooting in Tulsa on Tuesday night.

According to police, the shooting happened at an apartment complex near East 81st Street & South Sheridan Road at around 10 p.m.

Police say the woman who was shot does not live in the area and suffered a wound to her left shoulder. Police have not provided updates on the victim's condition, but say she was able to drive herself to the hospital.

According to police, a friend of the victim called 911 and officers found the scene because the victim sent a family member her location through her cell phone.

Police say they do not currently have a motive for the shooting, but they do not believe it was random.

Officers say they found several shell casings, broken glass and pieces of clothing at the scene.
