The Oklahoma Attorney general said he would be opposed to a new EPA rule that, if implemented, would impose stricter emissions standards.

Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond said the EPA's proposal would impose stricter rules on power plants.

"This rule, if allowed to stand, would cut jobs and raise energy costs for American families and businesses," Drummond said.

Drummond also said the rules violate a U.S. Supreme Court ruling.
