The Outsiders Museum Gathers Coats For Donation In Exchange For Free Admission

People visiting The Outsiders House Museum on Sunday got in free if they brought a coat or jacket to donate.

It's part of the museum's third coat drive and benefits the Tulsa Day Center.

Museum director Danny Boy O'Connor says it's a good way to let people check out the museum while helping those who need it most.

"Whatever people wanna give, we'll give it, they can use anything we have, but yes jackets are good since it's gonna be cold soon, and hopefully of those as we can," O'Connor said.

The museum hopes to collect about 300 clothing items to give to the homeless.

If you missed the event on Sunday but still want to donate, you can drop off clothing items at the Day Center.
