Woman Critically Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle In Tulsa

A woman is hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Tulsa on Saturday.

The Tulsa Police Department said it happened at 3900 S. Garnett Rd. just before 6 p.m.

A witness told police that the woman jumped into the street in front of the pickup truck that hit her. The driver said he was unable to stop after she ran in front of him.

Police said the investigation so far supports those statements and responding officers say that is the cause of the crash.

Police said the driver was cooperating with the investigation and stayed at the scene. He has been released with no charges.

The name of the woman has not been released. Police said she is in the hospital in critical condition.
