JollyTown is up and running now at Guthrie Green in downtown Tulsa, right across from the News On 6 studios in the Tulsa Arts District.

This year is the first year QuikTrip has brought the winter wonderland to life.

On Monday, Mendi Parker-Treat from QuikTrip and the Mayor of JollyTown joined News On 6 at Noon to discuss the event.

"We've got Santa Clause there, we have live reindeer that you can take photos with and some interactive, Winter Wonderland inflatable that kids can go through," said the JollyTown Mayor.

The first two nights of the event had a big turnout, something they expect the next five days as well.

"QuikTrip has been very humbled by the turnout and how the community has responded to this and come out and support it," said Parker-Treat.

Parker-Treat said a campaign in the QuikTrip app over the past few years inspired them to bring JollyTown to life in Tulsa.

"Our customers have our QuikTrip app and a campaign promotion called JollyTown the last few years let them win some prizes," Parker-Treat said.

QuikTrip decided to bring the event to life to celebrate its 65th year in the city and give back to the community.

"Something for the whole family that they can come and enjoy and have fun whether you're a child, adult, teenager, just come and enjoy the Christmas holiday," she said.

QuikTrip said it requires a waiver to be signed before lining up for the inflatables or the snow globe.

"It seems long, but it actually moves pretty fast and most everybody's been able to experience everything," Parker-Treat said.

A fictional town created in QuikTrip's mobile app has come to life for the holidays.

JollyTown is at Guthrie Green nightly through Friday, Dec. 22.

"Our customers, if they have our QuikTrip app, they are familiar with having a JollyTown campaign through the holiday season," said Marketing & Communications Manager Mendi Parker-Treat.

Within the mobile JollyTown, customers get to unwrap a digital gift, like free drinks for a year, every time they order through the QT app.

In the real-life JollyTown, there are visits with Santa, live reindeer, hot chocolate, holiday crafts, entertainment on the Guthrie Green stage, and even a giant obstacle course. The best part is everything is free.

"Our community does so much for QuikTrip and our employees do so much and so it was just something to say thank you," said Parker-Treat.

While families enjoy JollyTown, there is even a merchandise tent to snag some last-minute gifts like a Quikmas sweater, QuikTrip-themed ornaments, and snow globes.

JollyTown is open 6-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. on Friday. Santa and his reindeer will be there nightly.
