Bicyclist Injured In Hit And Run; Tulsa Police Search For Driver

Tulsa Police said they are looking for the driver who hit a man on a bicycle early Tuesday morning and left the scene.

The incident happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning near 41st and Sheridan, police said.

Officers said they found an abandoned SUV in a nearby parking lot of Academy Sports near 41st and Skelly Drive.

Evidence left at the scene of the hit and run matches that abandoned SUV, police said.

Officers said they are continuing the investigation to try to locate who was driving.

EMSA took the man to the hospital. He has serious injuries, but he is expected to be OK, according to police.
