Tulsa Watch Shop Repairs, Returns Rolex Band To Owner As Others Report Similar Issues

Since the story earlier this week about a man who couldn't get his watch band back from a Tulsa watch repair shop, News On 6 has had additional people say they had similar issues.

The store was found closed and locked on Tuesday.

The owner of the shop now said they didn't close but are a mobile business.

Jeff Parker said Tuesday he was very frustrated since Tulsa Time had his watch band for 7 months.

Parker said he got his repaired watch band back Thursday afternoon, but he's not the only one who's having issues.

"A lot of people don't wear watches anymore, and it's hard to find a good place that you can take them in and leave your watch," said Danny Melton.

Danny wears a watch every day and dropped two of them off at Tulsa Time nearly a year ago.

He says together the two watches have a value of about $500.

"I've had them for years, and I never could find a place that would work on them, unless you had to send it off, and I happened to find this place," he said.

Danny said he's called and gone by the store, but still hasn't heard anything.

"Leave it with a business in good faith that they'll fix it and call you and return it, and then they don't," he said.

The owner says their phone was disconnected because they've switched to a mobile store and they've had issues getting the number switched over, but it now works.

Danny says he's hoping he gets his watches back soon.

"Here it's been over a year, and I'd like to get my watches back, whether they are fixed or not, at least I can take them to someone else and get them fixed maybe," he said.

The owner is working on repairing Danny Melton's watches so she can return them to him fully repaired. 

She said she has to order parts for watches from other countries and it often takes a long time to get the parts in.

She said she tries to let customers know before repairs that it could take several months.
