Two members of local law enforcement received a special award this week for what they did to save a student's life.

Ascension St. John Sapulpa honored Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Devin Walbridge and Creek County Sheriff's Deputy Travis Braswell on Thursday.

On October 12, Trooper Walbridge responded to a call about an unresponsive youth on a school bus.

When he arrived, Walbridge gave CPR to the high school student, Kaleb Keltner.

Deputy Braswell arrived to the scene just as it was determined an ambulance would take too long, so Braswell drove Keltner to the hospital in his patrol car.

Keltner has since recovered, and was there for the ceremony honoring the two men for their heroic actions.
