It was an active day of severe weather across Green Country with plenty of tornado warnings but no confirmed tornadoes, according to News On 6 Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer.

Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and previous Tornado Warnings in SE Oklahoma counties have since expired.

News On 6 storm trackers along and south of Interstate 40 reported heavy rain and the occasional small hail.

"Since I left McAlister, just a lot of heavy rain and some intermittent, small, small hail," said Von Castor to Meteorologist Travis Meyer just after 8 p.m. Thursday.

Sequoyah Quinton reported similar weather conditions near Cameron, Oklahoma.

A weak system may brush the southern OK area Friday evening into early Saturday morning with a few showers, but most of the weekend will be rain free.

A second cold arrives Sunday with gusty north winds and cooler weather into Monday with a possibility of near freezing temps Monday morning.
