The Porch Previews Myriad Botanical Gardens' Summer Movie Series

With the start of summer less than a month away, the Myriad Botanical Gardens are ready for movie nights on the Devon Lawn.

The first of the garden's Summer Movie Series is scheduled for Wednesday night, and the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch sought out what moviegoers can expect in 2024.

Organizers for the event say they have taken good care of the lawn this spring, and have prepared in advance of the evening crowds.

"They've taken really good care of [the lawn] this spring, but we encourage families to bring their blankets," Leslie Spears with the Myriad Gardens said. "We have food trucks, we also will announce activities that relate to the film each night."

Jordan Pettay, marketing manager for the Social Order Dining Collective, said they are excited to be a part of the summer event lineup.

"We're hoping that everyone will come over to Spark beforehand," Pettay said. "Grab a picnic, grab some custard, bring it over to the gardens and enjoy out here on the lawn as you watch the movie."

The Social Order Dining Collective, which represents several metro restaurants including Spark in Scissortail Park, who are the sponsors of the Summer Movie Series.
