Early voting starts Thursday for voters across the state, ahead of next Tuesday's election.
Those who want to take advantage of early voting can do so today starting at 8 a.m. If you live in Tulsa, you can vote at the county election board.
There are several things on the ballot, but one of the biggest races is for Tulsa mayor.
There are seven candidates in the running. The last time Tulsans voted for mayor was back in 2020.
Voters will also choose city councilors for all nine districts in Tulsa and vote on city charter amendments; some of which would raise the salary for the next mayor of Tulsa and city councilors.
Tulsa County Election Board Secretary Gwen Freeman says it's important to bring your voter registration card or an approved ID to vote. She also says it's a good idea to check the sample ballots on the OK Voter Portal.
“We encourage you to come out for early voting if you’d like to do that, and then, of course, on Election Day, make sure you cast your vote at least by Election Day, so that we can have a great turnout for this election," Freeman said.
Early voting is available Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
