Starting with the 2024 SEC football season, Southeastern Conference schools will publicly report student-athlete availability for football, basketball, and baseball games.

SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey stated that this policy aims to enhance transparency and protect student-athletes and the integrity of the games. Schools must submit availability reports three days before football games, with updates every day leading up to a final report 90 minutes before kickoff. For basketball and baseball, reports are due the night before games, with updates on game day.

Players will be categorized as “available,” “probable,” “questionable,” “doubtful,” or “out” before game day, and “available,” “game time decision,” or “out” on game day. Football reports will be available on SECsports.com/FBreports.

Schools that fail to provide accurate reports will face fines: $25,000 for a first football offense, escalating to $100,000 for subsequent offenses, and $15,000 to $25,000 for similar issues in basketball and baseball.
