An Inola girl who was born prematurely started a nonprofit to help other families with children in the NICU.

AnnLee's Violet Light Project received more than $12,000 to make care packages to send to families across the country.

"When my mom tells me 'Oh you get to make a bag today' and I get to make a onesie for them we do all kinds of colors for the onesie and it just makes me so happy getting to put a little bag together for the mom," said AnnLee Cavilee.

They plan to distribute 500 bags this year.
