Tulsa Police Investigate Fatal E-Bike Accident Downtown

A 60-year-old man riding an e-bike ran a red light and was fatally struck by a car near the BOK Center on Sunday night.

Tulsa police said a 60-year-old man died after being struck by a car while riding an e-bike near the BOK Center late Sunday night.

The accident occurred around 10 p.m. at the intersection of 1st Street and Denver Ave.

Investigators said the man was riding his e-bike north on Denver when he ran a red light.

A driver traveling west on 1st Street, who had the green light, struck the cyclist.

The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.

Authorities have not yet released his identity. No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
