STILWELL, Oklahoma - A second grader at Maryetta School in Stilwell was surprised by Google officials Wednesday.

Janessa Chastain, 8, is a finalist for the national Doodle 4 Google contest.

Doodle 4 Google challenged students all over the country to redesign the Google logo.

Chastain's Doodle is titled, "Japan – Land of Cherry Blossoms."  She says, "If I could travel in time, I'd visit Japan, the Land of Cherry Blossoms. I would like to go to a Cherry Blossom celebration and learn about Japanese culture, customs and people."

Oklahomans can vote until May 10, 2012 for Chastain's doodle to become the national finalist at

This is the second year in a row a Maryetta School student has made the finalist list.  Last year, 9-year-old Katie Stephenson was a finalist in the "Doodle 4 Google National Art Competition."
