Oklahoma City police have arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting that claimed the life of one person and injured another one early Saturday morning.
According to police, just before 1:30 a.m., officers responded to the report of a disturbance at the Quail Lake Apartment, located near N.W. 140th and Penn.

When officers arrived, they learned that two people had been shot and transported to the hospital by a private vehicle. One victim, 19-year-old Dequinn L. Mackey, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
A second victim, 18-year-old Natalie Martin, was treated for a gunshot to her hand. She has been released from the hospital.
Investigators said the shooting occurred as two men were arguing about a suspected stolen cellphone. During the investigation, officers identified 19-year-old Kamron L. Carter as a suspect in the case.
Carter was arrested during a traffic stop in northwest Oklahoma City, Sunday morning. He has been booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a first-degree murder complaint.
According to police, Mackey's death is Oklahoma City's 45th homicide of 2014.
