Law enforcement officers have made an arrest in a deadly Tulsa County shooting.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said 60-year-old Ricky Hurley was found at the Relax Inn in Vinita, and several departments were involved in tracking him down.

Deputies said Hurley shot and killed his stepson at a home in the 2300 block of South 65th West Avenue Monday night. Officials identified the shooting victim as 38-year-old Michael Palmer.

Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said Hurley and the victim have a long history of disputes. Authorities said the two men got into an argument when Palmer wanted to spend the night at the home. Hurley shot his stepson then took off his red pickup, according to TCSO.

Deputies said the victim's mother reported the crime.

Hurley's red Nissan Frontier was found in the parking lot of the Vinita hotel Tuesday morning.

Law enforcement said they looked at surveillance video and discovered that he had checked into the hotel overnight. They found him in that room and took him into custody.

Officials said Hurley has been charged with first-degree murder and assault and battery.
